Come and join a rapidly evolving L&D team that is using and developing hybrid learning solutions, including e-learning, webinars and ‘in person’ delivery.

The role
The successful applicant will:

  • provide administrative support to the Organisation Learning team, ensuring the delivery of a customer focused and professional service.
  • manage the day-to-day administration and queries relating to the learning inbox and Learning Pool accounts and provide administrative support for a range of learning programmes and activities.
  • provide systems administration of e-learning and learning booking systems, ensuring the system runs effectively and meets end-user needs.
  • need to use software tools to support L&D and the wider HR team in design and production of learning and presentation materials; keeping up to date with relevant technologies
  • participate in HR projects and initiatives, working closely with colleagues within the L&D team and across HR.

Location
Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, we operate a hybrid approach whereby you may be required to work in the office and from home or another location as determined by service requirements.

What we’re looking for

  • You need to be an enthusiastic, self-resourcing individual who has a successful track record as an administrator in a complex environment/organisation, ideally with an understanding of the challenges facing local authorities and public bodies.
  • It is essential that you have a sound practical knowledge of training administration and processes, together with experience of successfully managing customer relationships.
  • Knowledge and experience of using information technology including: Learning Pool or similar e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS), MS Office, and financial and human resources management systems, together with the capacity and interest in continually developing expertise in these systems, is essential.
  • You will need to be highly organised, able to prioritise and work calmly and effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. You must be good at project management and capable of managing all financial administrative processes related to learning and development activity, raising invoices and ensuring payments are made.
  • Meeting deadlines and working with colleagues to achieve these will be essential. The team works collaboratively and needs someone who is very much team orientated yet can work independently and use their own initiative where required or as work is allocated to deliver to L&D customers’ needs.
  • A qualification in education and/or administration of education/or demonstrable equivalent experience, ideally including experience using an e-learning platform and LMS will be required.
