We’re looking for an experienced, dedicated Multi-Agency Child Protection Team Senior Social Worker to join our passionate team. The Role

As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide accountable statutory social work services to children, young people, and their families. You will undertake assessments, interventions, case planning, and reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes.

You will also:

  • Manage complex cases independently, including those involving safeguarding and child protection
  • Produce high-quality reports and documentation for meetings, court, and other agencies
  • Provide supervision, consultation, and guidance to social workers, students, and social work assistants
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies such as health, police, and education
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Children Act 1989
  • Participate in duty systems and contribute to service improvement projects

Who We’re Looking For

You will have:

  • A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • At least two years of post-qualifying experience working with children and families
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and best practice frameworks
  • Proven ability to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds, with a commitment to equality and inclusion
  • Experience in managing complex cases, including court involvement and independent decision-making
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
