We are looking for a passionate and skilled Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to join our Families, Quality and Commissioning (FQC) team within the Children and Young People’s Directorate.

This is a pivotal role where you will help drive the development and delivery of high-quality services through robust quality assurance, effective auditing, and reflective practice.

The Role

As Quality Assurance Co-ordinator, you will:

• Lead on case audits, thematic reviews, and deep dives across Children’s Services.
• Support implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring high standards across the directorate.
• Champion learning from practice by developing tools, guidance, and audit standards.
• Support continuous improvement by promoting reflective practice and learning culture.
• Analyse data and report on quality and performance, contributing to inspection readiness and service planning.
• Influence practice across services through training, collaborative workshops, and presentations to senior forums.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• A qualified social worker (DipSW or equivalent) with substantial post-qualifying experience.
• Knowledgeable about legislation including the Children Act and current social care standards.
• Experienced in conducting audits, presenting findings, and supporting practice improvement.
• Skilled in analysing complex information and making sound judgments.
• An excellent communicator and confident presenter.
• Able to inspire and support colleagues in delivering better outcomes for children and families.
