Description
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to join our Families, Quality and Commissioning (FQC) team within the Children and Young People’s Directorate.
This is a pivotal role where you will help drive the development and delivery of high-quality services through robust quality assurance, effective auditing, and reflective practice.

The Role
As Quality Assurance Co-ordinator, you will:
- Lead on case audits, thematic reviews, and deep dives across Children’s Services.
- Support implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring high standards across the directorate.
- Champion learning from practice by developing tools, guidance, and audit standards.
- Support continuous improvement by promoting reflective practice and learning culture.
- Analyse data and report on quality and performance, contributing to inspection readiness and service planning.
- Influence practice across services through training, collaborative workshops, and presentations to senior forums.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified social worker (DipSW or equivalent) with substantial post-qualifying experience.
- Knowledgeable about legislation including the Children Act and current social care standards.
- Experienced in conducting audits, presenting findings, and supporting practice improvement.
- Skilled in analysing complex information and making sound judgments.
- An excellent communicator and confident presenter.
- Able to inspire and support colleagues in delivering better outcomes for children and families.
