We are looking for a committed Quality Assurance Manager to join our Children and Young People’s (CYP) directorate during an exciting time of transformation.

The Role

We are expanding our quality assurance function with a new senior opportunity. As Quality Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Lead, support and shape QA and practice improvement across all CYP services.
  • Manage a team of 4 Quality Assurance Co-ordinators.
  • Drive a robust quality assurance schedule including audits, deep dives and thematic reviews.
  • Produce high-quality reports, analysis and recommendations for service improvement.
  • Design and deliver learning materials, training and briefings to staff at all levels, including up to Director level.
  • Act as the lead for learning from Serious Case Reviews and support inspection readiness.
  • Deputise for the Head of Quality Assurance when required and represent Lewisham on safeguarding boards and subgroups.

This role offers the opportunity to influence and develop practice, systems and outcomes for children, young people and their families in a progressive and inclusive borough.

About You

We are seeking an inspirational leader with:

  • A recognised social work qualification and Social Work England registration.
  • Strong management experience within children’s safeguarding services.
  • Deep knowledge of Working Together 2023, Pan-London Child Protection Procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrable success in practice improvement, audit and QA in a safeguarding context.
  • An understanding and commitment to Signs of Safety and strengths-based, relationship-led practice.
  • Experience analysing data to support service improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills to produce and present strategic insights.
